Zunox Updates

Hey there,

So there has been slight confusion recently with regards to our domain name change. Some people thought we were hacked/sold. I would like to take this time to thank those users who patiently awaited an announcement from the staff. We, as Zunox Staff have had many discussions over the past few days regarding many aspects of Zunox Downloads and below are the fruits of those discussions. Now lets get down to business (will be long).

• Regarding the domain change:
  Due to the recent domain seizures and a registrar problem we were having with our .com, we decided it best to move to a .co domain while the site is still fairly young. The domain change went over nicely and all traffic is now redirected to the new domain. We would like to ask ALL webmasters to update their linkback and their button/banner codes. Our Linkback page has already been updated to reflect the new domain. Please also upload the button/banner to a Free Image Hosting site such as LulzIMG.com, IMGKeep.com or TinyPic.com and link to it from there.
  
  
• Regarding FileHosts:
  The FileSonic Rule is still in effect but only applies to a few:
  
  • If your submissions only have 1-3 mirrors including Filesonic, then the 1GB rules applies to you.
    
  • If your submissions contain 4 or more mirrors including Filesonic, then th 1GB rule does not apply to you.
  
  All previous bans handed out will still be in effect and will NOT be overturned.
  
  Primary Hosts are as follows: Rapidshare.com, Megaupload.com, Mediafire.com
  Secondary Hosts are as follows: Fileserve.com, Hotfile.com, WUpload.com, Uploadstation.com, Uploading.com, Oron.com, uploaded.to, Netload.in, Depositfiles.com, Easy-Share.com
  Other Recognized Hosts: FileKeen.com, ShareFlare.net, Turbobit.net
  
  
• Regarding Webmaster Control Panel:
  The WCP is down until further notice, currently doing some updates and core changes.
  
  
• Regarding Linkbacks:
  As you may already be aware, all sites submitting to us MUST linkback to Zunox Downloads on ALL pages that they submit. This rule is implemented automatically when you submit downloads, if no linkback is found, then the submissions aren't accepted. Some users were having an issue where there was a linkback but submissions still weren't being accepted, this should now be fixed.
  
  
• Site Ratings (Updated):
  
  • 1* - Default rating given to sites who submit to Zunox. This is the lowest rating a site can have other than being blacklisted. Sites with a 1* rank are usually low quality sites. They submit using 1 mirror most of the time.
    
    
  • 2* - This rating implies that the site still has room for improvement but just hasn't gotten there yet. Sites with 2* submit with 1 or sometimes 2 mirrors. To request a promotion from 1*-2*, the site must be submitting for atleast 30 days on a REGULAR basis.
    
    
  • 3* - This is the average rating for sites. Sites with 3* have been submitting to Zunox for a short period but have proven themselves to offer some quality content as compared to 1/2* sites. They usually submit using 2-4 mirrors. To achieve 3* from 2*, sites must wait 60 days from the time they were promoted to 2*.
    
    
  • 4* - These sites have proven themselves to be better than the masses. The webmasters who run 4* sites, show the time and effort they put into the site, they would rather focus on quality rather than quantity. You can usually find 4 or more mirrors from 4* sites. Sites must have been submitting to Zunox for a minimum of 6months before they can request a re-rate. They must also wait 60 days since their last re-rate. Linkbacks MUST be placed within the header of the site.
    
    
  • 5* - The cream of the crop, these are the top sites that submit to Zunox, not many are privy to reach the 5* rank. But those that are, have shown exceptional quality control and have set a standard on their sites. You can expect over 5 mirrors on 5* sites. To achieve 5* from 4*, sites must be submitting to Zunox for atleast 1 year, in addition to, sites must wait 90 days from their last re-rate, during which they will come under heavy scrutiny and observations to make sure they fit the profile superbly. Linkbacks MUST be placed within the header of the site.
  
  
  Due note that site ratings are neither purely dependent on the amount of hosts nor the length of time submitting, other factors also have a heavy influence on your rank such as site design, ease of use, number of ads, page speed, past bans etc.

Not sure what to do about your page http://wrzc.org/site/zunox.com I'll leave it tracking the .com alexa traffic as it's higher and you'll appear higher up the DDL list and change it to recording the .co traffic when it passes the .com alexa rank.

What issues were ye having with the registrar? We're they legal issues? Best of luck with everything anyway.

Thanks for the important update but are you gonna send this info also in a email to the submitting sites? Might help as Im not sure all siteowners/staff see the information here.

Its too high then average ddl sites out there (1 year wat )

Hope you may be able to decrease that time for 5*
