Do you guys report your earnings here to the IRS/CRA

Any troubles if you dont? Ive been reading about OSAP and the repayment assistance and all... I earned like 600$ the last 3 months and I'm not sure if I should tell them about it, and if its safe to deposit it to my bank without them knowing it (assuming I dont tell them).

Is money earned from all this file host business considered "other income" or what not?

Any help would be appreciated.

Other income is any income other then GST/HTS/OST payments, HST introductory payments, and income tax refunds. With repayment assistance or interest relief they can ask for bank statements and an explanation on how you make a living. Check forums NSLSC-RAP-App(E) (I think) for info on it.

If you owe money to the irs and such.. You better save all your money somewhere that you can get the money in hand..

Things like paypal, alertpay, bank accounts they will freeze your account and take all your money if they start to see activity..

Best thing like i said do EVERYTHING cash or for file host stuff move everything to someone elses name...

And yes file host which is web services is counted as business transactions so irs will find it if its going to a account in ur name..

how do we get money to another name ?

paypal wont send money if your bank account name is different...

put a different paypal account on file

In USA most AD companies,etc won't send you a tax return form unless you made over 600$ in a year from them.

Thats for IRS but nothing on CRA. Either way im not even close to 20,000 or 200 payments... I'm safe?
