Godaddy/Domain renewals question

I'm not sure how this works, but let me explain my situation.


A friend of mine would like to buy this domain: http://www.sashadesigns.net/
It is already taken, but it says: "NOTICE: This domain name expired on 08/04/2011 and is pending renewal or deletion"


Does anyone know how long until the domain will be available again?

AFAIK that domain is supposed to be available right now as it drops from the ICANN database after 75-80 days of the expiration date.

Expiration date: 8th April 2011 >> Availability date: 23rd/28th June 2011.

* You can not buy the domain within the redemption period unless the owner decides not to re-activate the domain & pay the fee.

^ I think godaddy is using the american date system, so it expired on the 4th August.

Thanks for that, I will keep a look out and wait for the domain to drop after 75-80 days.


The problem is, who.is says it will expire in 2012: http://who.is/whois/sashadesigns.net/
