Can't upload a new avatar for some reason.. please help. (sorry)

For some strange reason, when I go to the avatar page underneath my control panel, all I see is a blank avatar box, with absolutely NO option to allow me to upload my own avatar. The only options visible are "Save" and "Reset". Any idea why I'm experiencing this, and perhaps how to fix it. Many thanks in advance.

I'm guessing it's because your in the probation usergroup, when your registered for 48 hours and have 2 posts you will be automatically put into the members usergroup.
