If you're looking for a free anti-virus software, I'd use Microsoft Security Essentials.
1. Doesn't use many resources on your computer.
2. Fairly easy to work with, just a couple of buttons, etc. Automatically scans, Auto-Updates.

Haha, yeah MS Essentials, I tried that once... Using Windows 7 64Bit, and it crashed my pc
I mean.. MS essectials crashed on my MS Operating System
