Hi Guys,

i want to buy a xbox 360,
and i need to know:
What do i need to chip the xbox
Are the games stored on the Internal HDD
or can i use a External Seagate 500GB HDD

Please help me and are there any restrictions
on any specific model or anything that cant be
chipped or anything?

Also whats difference between HDMI & No HDMI xbox 360?

Please help me as i am kinda clueless

u can simply store games on xbox360 harddisk but u have to place the disc into the tray to be able to play the game ... this sucks ... we cannot backup games now ... and the nwest version of xbox 360 is xbox slim kinda good has wifi 250gb hdd and good looking black color ...

i like it myself owning one. Can now use Paypal as well to buy Live,buy MS points,buy On Demand games etc. .. and from what i have heard you can use other external hdd, i havent messed with that much though,and havent modded my xbox

If trying to use an external hdd (not the hdd that you can buy for your xbox) it will allow a max of only 16gb, it doesnt matter how big it is

and whats the difference between hdmi & non hdmi xbox will both work
with a normal LCD TV (i have HDMI port)

lolx i use usb to store games n play it run alot better than disc hehe ... install the game on usb ... on hdmi you will get mind blowing graphics but on VGA u wont get good graphics .. and for using hdmi u need to have an lcd which has hdmi input ...

all xbox comes with hdmi + VGA so its your choice whether to use hdmi or VGA

Allright as i got 360 myself here are few ans to ur questions

You need to buy JASPER model of your console
If you buy the arcade version of console it will come with only 256 or 512mb of memory enough to store your save games ONLY but if u want to store movies and songs on it then u can always buy the 360 HDD of 20gb or more
if u buy ELITE version console then u get 250gb of HDD with it of course price will be higher
to play pirate games on it u need to modify ur console with latest LT firmware which is 1.9 i think . dont update your console if u go online . but i recommend to not to go online with ur modded console as microsoft will ban ur account , but dont worry u will still be able to play games on it
about HDMI if you have a HD Tv or LCD then HDMI will do wonders for u but if u have monitor then simply a VGA conversion cable will do fine .

1. If you dont want to wait and want to play all the latest games then i'd suggest that you get a Phat XBOX360 as only that can be patched to LT+1.9 firmware( latest xbox custom firmware)

2. You can store the games on the Internel HDD but not all games are meant to be played that way, discs are always preferred.

3. Not sure, haven't tried an external HDD yet, i prefer the DVD

4. The latest Xbox firmware is LT+ 1.9 which is only available for phat models and is being made for slim models right now( no eta on it). To play the latest games you'll need LT+ 1.9 so its better to get a Jasper Console and put LT+ 1.9 on it. This way you can even play games on XBOX Live safely

5. All the Xbox 360s have the option of either using HDMI or VGA. HDMI like the name says is HD i.e better quality video. If your LCD/TV has a HDMI port, you can connect it to your xbox and play in HD graphics.
