You need ffmpeg installed on your server, and a script for uploading of the videos (it'll automatically convert them into flv) there are a lot of free scripts out there (some of them are outdated), but here's one that works for sure: (it's not open source though)

I plan to add the vids to my server via RapidLeech - so could you please confirm what I would need? That script (which converts) and ffmpeg?

Sorry, I never used Rapid leech, so I can't help you with that. But yeah, this script has a nice GUI, which makes it easy to use for everyone. If you won't upload the videos yourself, you can use command line version of ffmpeg (by just writing path of the file, settings and output), but then you'd have to write conversion settings yourself, which is a pain in the ass for most of the people. You can google out some nice settings depending on the input format of course.

I got ahold of the guy who wrote that script and he's going to change some of the code to allow for remote upload and conversion on the server...so this is perfect and very inexpensive. Thanks for the suggestion Jason
