phazeddl current alexa rank is 3K and it was 900, may be 8~10month ago. change your post title phaze is not shut down like katz

Well for starters it's the begining of the end of most DDL sites. Most DDL Sites get traffic to their sites with this method. PhazeDDL will be slightly less affected but it will be affected. This of course affects smaller sites who rely heavily on DDL sites for traffic.

For german sites check their toplists like woz.to, anyhow as I said concept is different. Webmasters don't submit their sites, it's more of a blog system. Because editors post everything. But, it's still DDL (Direct Download) as it doesn't require any registration or whatsoever.

They're popular locally. Same goes for other countries like Spain, Argentina, etc. Even though their concept is quite different than Phaze's and Katz's.

The reasons why it has gotten less popular in the past years vary.
