Having said that, there's tons of sites out there that experience slowdowns and problems once in a while - especially when they experience a sudden growth in usage/traffic; not having access to statistics would mean you're unable to point that out either - thus the miscalculated judgement.

Speed, uptime and length the image is hosted are all recorded. The location of the server and the images (testing gif's and static as well as different sizes) in question will not be revealed for another 2 months to avoid any potential manipulation of results.

Anyone who knows me well know's I buy loads of domains with the sole intention of running experiments on different servers. This is just one of many. Ask eLight about my other experiments.

therma poster rocks in such cases with replacement option

The replacement issues are only temporary. The DNS change may take another day or two to completely propagate. After that, everything should be good to go.

My 2 cents:
If you are a heavy pic uploader (Games and huge posters) I suggest you go for PhotoBucket Pro!
I know quite a lot of people who use Pro service.

Also, we must ALL be grateful to the people who actually take the time to code, spend hundreds of dollars to make an amazing image hosting site. Thank you dear webmasters.
