FileServe capping speeds?

I noticed (almost) that all my (premium) downloads via FileServe hit an average speed of 3000kbps. I have a USA VPS at Dellas from KnownSRV. I had the same speeds with my previous VPS@ServeDome. I get much higher download speeds with MegaUpload, unfortunately FileSonic is much worse




Are you also having slow premium download speeds? Something normal?

the slow speeds can also be because of the server location ? and the ping etc ?

Filesonic's download speeds suck. That's a given fact.

And lol, I agree with JJJ. 3MB/sec isn't slow. It's kinda the average speed you should expect since RL downloads without splitting the download into multiple segments.

Megaupload cannot be compared with the above two - it's professional.

My sborg has good speed's with fileserve but it sucks on filesonic

They have speed limit per 1 connection which is 3000kb/s.

Then what if someone makes a script such a way that it uses multiple connections to download using CURL?

How awesome will that be?

cURL does not support segmented file transfers.
