Well, when the section is only for Polling Plaza then why does the thread needs to have any prefix?

I don't think it's odd. And it is easier to spot a thread if someone forgot to add a poll or posted in wrong section.

I am talking only about the specific section.
I believe theres a option to disable prefixes for specified section in vb

No. Makes it easier to spot around the forums and it is not hurting anything being there.
