    Most if not all hosts won't except proxy sites on there shared hosting enviroment, you'd need a VPS atleast.

    As Jason said, Glype is a great base for a proxy website.
    It's amazing, being in a community can cause hate. Competitors or not - DDOS isn't cool :)
