Why is the upload speed of megaupload so bad?

I am even using a US based server and this is the speed it gives

MU has capped their upload speed ~350KB/s for a long time mate. That's why.
Its not just you.

What are the best USA based filehosts other than Filesonic,Fileserve,Hotfile and Megaupload..

Megaupload isn't a USA based filehost!
Not sure where excatly in europe but i think in Germany!

Edit: maybe the main server in USA, but hosting servers in Europe

Megaupload has servers in USA as well as Europe I think.

I tried RL, sborg, RDP, FTP .... onshore,offshore but never got more than 500KBs.

megaupload downloading speed is good

It's possible to reach up to 100MB/s (upload speed) using megamanager or megakey.
However, no more than 500KB/s using any http based upload tool.
