Yup me here has got a first DMCA notice today that one my links got deleted.
It clearly means that that hotfile terminated the account not the links.

but the links are already dead. how come there will be a notice? lol

No the links are dead if you try to open as http://www.hotfile.com/blahblah but if you use this trick and open it as http://www.new.hotfile.com/blahblah, most of the links will still work.

Hotfile has changed their directory after lawsuit,Now they have protected their directory, So this trick will not work anymore.

Nop as i have already told above that this thing is now protected and doesn't work anymore.
