Drop-down boxes downloadable?

Notice how you can select different applications, click download and it'll work? I'm assuming it's using a get function but i can't find anything else on it.

he uses javascript to set the URL value depending on which option in the select has been chosen. submit then submits to a page which recieves the value of the URL box and downloads the file. easy
