iMac OS Help

Ok guys I need a little help with this iMac I got. I'm not really an iMac guru like I am with fixing Windows Operating Systems, but a friend of mine brought his over to my house so I can take a wack at fixing his for him ($100 ) So I need to know which version of the OS I need for this model:






Also could you guys possibly give me a recommended list of apps I should add on his iMac for him etc. (package deal so to speak) Thanks for this fellas


I know this is not a warez forum but could you guys please PM me where to download a clean copy of the software OS version I need.

Also do I have to worry about:

• Genuine Validation
• Do I boot from a disc like I do with windows
• Is it easy to follow the boot options menu ......
