How do disable ( not show ) signatures in PM

I use IPB 3.1.4

Can anyone help

There is no setting to turn off sig in a pm that I know about.

But you could probably edit the messenger template.

Just for pm's I got no clue and not sure it even exist any mods/hook but per user group you can test: Acp/tab Members/Member Groups/Manage User Groups/ then click on for example "members"/tab global/Signatures and click Yes in the option for " Disable members of this group from editing their signatures ". Remember to click the complete edit button.

This will now make it impossible for this group to add or edit any signatures as that option is not visible anymore.

There is also a free hook that works very similar but with some extra settings.
