Coding vB themes

Hi Guys,

I wanted to know how to code vB themes ? I know coding PSD 2 HTML/WordPress... So how to do it in vB ?

Good thing is that you don't have to do it from scratch. You just create a new template via Admin Control Panel. Give the name to the template. You go in 'StyleVars' , you'll find there lots of settings, such as to enter folder names for images and such. You put all custom CSS in "Additional CSS" box. And when you want to sell the template, you just export it, zip the image files. And that's all.

As a Coder in vb3/vb4 etc this is exactly correct but you can take it even further

What do you mean "where"? Just get yourself something like XAMPP, or AppServ. Install it, either buy or download nulled version of vBulletin, and start playing around.

So Will it be Ok , If I convert into HTMl and then into vB ?

What do you mean if you convert it into HTML and then vB? You won't be needing half of the template images. Most of the stuff you can do with CSS, such as the background, page background, postbit background, etc. You'll be only needing few things from your PSD, such as cat images, buttons, banner, and stuff like that. So basically, you don't need to do much coding for a simple template, you'd require some good knowledge only if you want to code some template that requires many edits...

What Im doing currently is editing a theme by replacing images but the problem is what to do if I want the Postbit to be transparent ... ? Can I have a example pls Jason !
