order of authors in a scientific paper

anyone know what the function of autheurs at the top of the first page of a scientific paper are?

the front page looks like:

Title article

author 1, author 2, author 3, author 3

i know: the first author did the most work, and the last auhor is the leader

what are the function of other authors actually?

i knew it, but forgot it, wanted to know again

no-nope.....

First author always a Corresponding author.... and others are Co-Authors....

Its up to the writer of paper that how much he give relaxation to the Co-Authors....

Mostly all work done by the Corresponding and others are just enjoying or just contributing in publication fee but It may not happened in rare cases...

what means Co-Authors? like students who helped with the experiment?
