    Default cPanel to Plesk

Hello, i want to migrate from cpanel to Plesk but plesk is demanding me to remove current exim, php, mysql etc ....

will removing sql from the server removes the databases?

If yes what is the best thing to do? backdatabases the remove mysql then install it through plesk and then restore backups ?

is there anything i must backup other than sql before the migrate?

you can't just overwrite/convert cpanel to plesk, it would mess up the system.

first, backup all your sites, files and databases.
then reload/reinstall the OS, finally fresh install the plesk..

    Default cpanle-plesk

    i would go this way

    1. backup databases usually at "/var/lib/mysql"
    2. backup all e-mail & settings - depending on what are you using (qmail, postfix, exim)
    3. backup all www data from all domains

i wouldn't agree with you, plesk is very easy to adminster & cool for end users

but transition in head from cpanel to plesk is hard to bare
