You said you get this error weekly? Does that mean it works sometimes, then breaks and fixes itself automatically?

I can think of two things to cause that, Shinjiru mysql service crashes and they reboot it or someone crashes your database through an exploit (don't know why it would come up)

If it's worked before, I suggest going to phpmyadmin and "repairing" all your tables.

yeah, but it's joomla so it's done through the installer script, where he just fills in the blanks when first setting up the site.

Sites loading fine on my end. It might be your hosting that's the problem.
Also, you have very little to no experience as a webmaster. I would recommend getting help from someone who knows what they're doing. These errors can be fixed, but you know far too little for us to even start to help you.

    It begins...
The server you're hosted on is most likely hitting the mysql connection limit. When that happens, MySQL often denies access/connection requests which result in that error.

The fact that it works at times means your configuration settings are just fine. Now the cause is either what I mentioned above, and if not that, then it's quite likely that the main server's MySQL is taken down for maintenance every so often. Although, for the life of me, I would not be able to figure out why they would do that. MySQL needs little maintenance.

You should talk to your host first, about this issue. If they are unable to help you, switch hosts.
