Where to add google analytics code ? :S

Well, as you can see from the title, I'm confused about place for google analytics code in phpbb 3.0.8. I've added it in overal_header template, but I have only 1 visit in few days, and that is wrong stat...

What's the site so we can check how you've added it. You shouldn't need a mod to add the Google Analytics code. It's incredibly basic.

Their's no Google Analytics Code added to that site. Try clearing the cache or whatever it is you have to do is phpbb after you modify a template. I can't remember as it's being 2 years since I ran a phpbb site but I know you have to clear the cache or something like that.

Reply when you've done that and I'll check again then.

Yes, happy he has to clear the cache unless he edited the template through the ADMIN CP

I'm always editing template trough Admin CP...

I've cleared cache, can you please check again ?

But I think there is some other problem, cuz google is recognizing code, just giving me wrong stats



Maybe the problem is with some things about www and non-www... I'm not sure abt this two types of url, but maybe thats the problem ?

well the google code is not on your sites template,try adding it on the footer?


Edit your template file through your FTP,cpanel etc then clear your cache


if you make edits through your Admin CP everytime you clear cache all templates will go back to default. so edit your templates files directly, not through admin cp

Code isn't added still on the site and it's not a www problem. The code is not showing at all. Here's my guess. You may have added the code inside an "if" statement by accident.

Your going to have to paste the overall header file here for us to have a look at it as you must have accidentally put it in the wrong place.

Their are other possibilities but that would be my first guess. Don't try adding it to the footer as suggested above. it's better practice to have the code in the header.

Open overal_header.tpl and add it just before the </head> tag.
Everything should work good..

And yeah, just edit it via ftp and make sure you dont edit the google code.
