Canadians are the world leaders in viewing YouTube, have the highest percentage of Internet users on Facebook and have out-tweeted Americans, according to comScore, a company that measures digital activity.
Reported in Postmedia News, 17.6 million Canadians, or 71% of Canadian Internet users, visit YouTube every month; this is more than any other country in the world. Meanwhile, 55% of the American Internet users view YouTube every month.

It is not easy to make profit with so much bandwith costs, even if you have a lot of ads in your website. But I think that they are break-even or maybe have a little loss.

I read at neowin or some similar site they have 400+ million loss a year.

However with the new in video ads (that play before the video starts) I guess the losses will be a lot less, I get shitloads of those ads nowadays
