Ok, we needed an official thread.

Whats allowed in this thread:

• Official Announcements
• Bug reports
• Updates on email progress - by staff.
• Recomendations. Although think before you post please.
• Discussion about the site.

Not allowed:

• Re-rate Requests
• Whitelist Requests
• 'I email you, no reply yet'. Type messages. Be patient or GTFO.
• For the above, email us and be patient.

Same rules applies to PMs, PM me about a re-rate or whitelist and I will purposely leave your email till last.

Current Email Status: 07/03/2011 .This date isnt always updated, only when I do mail and not the staff. So its a worse case scenario.

Star rating definitions.

1*

• New Site
• Less than 300-450 listed downloads

2*

• New site
• Less than 800 downloads
• No popups. No ads that are considered spammy.

3*

• Clean Layout
• Button Highly recommended
• More than 800-1000 downloads depending on site.

4*

• Button required, except in exceptional circumstances
• Well thought out and customized design
• Given out to only a limited number of sites.
• Gives front page submissions.
• Usually more than 2,000 submissions.

5*

• Button required, except in exceptional circumstances
• Well thought out and customized design
• Given out to only an extremely limited number of sites.
• Gives front page submissions.
• More than 2,000 submissions.

New ranking system will go live in a few days!

Submissions per day:
1* - 3* = 100 per day max. No duplicates. No low quality submissions, if your downloads are deemed 'low quality' you will be restricted to 20/day
4* - 5* = 50 per day max. No duplicates, and definately no low quality. Low quality will result in demotion.

How are download ratings determined?
They are determined based on the following criteria:

• +1.85 - points per host. Up to 8 points for number of filehosts
• +1 point - for a mirrors.im link
• +X points - user votes
• ... more conditions comming soon.

NexusDDL Smart Search Ranking
The new search system has a new intelligent ranking system, factors:
- Title Relevance (Major!)
- Age (Major)
- Views (minor)
- Number of Links (no recognised links penalty aka our bot couldnt connect to your server) (intermediate)
- Number of Dead Links (and >60% penalty) (minor, penalty: major)
- Number of Live Links (minor)
- Site Ranking (minor -> intermediate)

Future Ranking Factors:
- Content Relevance (On page)
- IMDB and TVRage relevance
- Link Filename Relevance (minor)
- Number of Hosts with preferable Host ranking factors.

Site star ranking limits
5 star: 15 sites MAX
4 star: 30 sites MAX
We reserve the right to change these as the number of sites changes, howeaver they remain a good indication of a sites quality.
If you are 3* that means you are not in the top 45 sites.

We always reply to email if we receive it. Currently email is being received from others fine. Try again. If you sent it via the contact form, there was a 2 week time period in which it wasnt working.

Thanks, but thats a SEO experiment thats currently taking place, its place in the footer is temporary. But thanks for inadvertently reporting a bug.
