reddit.comYes, it can't really protect you if you're illegal, but it can protect you from the curiosity of some not-so-powerful legal threads.

Cojba, It's quite simple. There are sick people out there, whois protection should be free everywhere, and contact info should not be displayed publicly. I mean, check this example .. Natasha is sweet 19yo girl from Ukraine. She's a real hardcore blogger, she bought some domain, natashapwnsredheads.com ... So, there are lots of haters, and she didn't bought privacy protect option, and boom. Those sick stalkers have her home address, phone number, everything ... So yeah, if you're not afraid of stalkers, don't use whois protection.

FlowForums.comI would buy it for a warez domain. There are a lot of noobs in the scene who will try and hurt you. Sounds rediculous and it is but its true.
Buy it to keep the kids away.

I'm not sure about just one thing. How can someone hurt me ? He will contact me via mobilephone, or send me something to home address ? It would be my pleasure to fuck him off...
