I think it's bullshit. In 2007, facebook was not so big as now, so they would have accepted it if MS really had offered that.

I sniped them at the last second with a 16 billion USD bid and won the auction. Forgot to leave feedback though . "A+++ seller!"

lol. Wikipedia thinks Mark Zuckerberg is worth US$6.9 Billion not Facebook. Your quoting it wrong.

It's very difficult to put a price on online sites like Facebook and Twitter. For example Twitter has never EVER made a profit. Neither has Youtube. Facebook never made a profit until a year ago. The thing is these companies have the potential to make massive money which is why they are valued so high. If a regular company was to make as much profit as Facebook it wouldn't be worth or valued near as much as it currently is.

Sure a company turned down Google's offer of $6 billion only a few days ago.

But, as the technology world goes, its not about the products that currently exists that will challenge Facebook, its the new startup that no one has heard of yet that may eventually lead to Facebook's demise.
Won't happen. Mark is too smart to even let this come close to happening. He would buy the startup for a price that is not declinable when you first start. I'm sure he has workers search the internet constantly for people with facebook ideas.
