I am trying to enable hotlink protection at the cpanel but I get this error:

Fixed!

It looks like the hotlinking issue was due to the fact that /home/mypic/public_html/.htaccess was missing a new line at the end, which prevented cpaneld from properly creating the mod_rewrite rules.
