    Default PHP book for a total noob...

    Hello all,
    I dont know anything about PHP but now want to learn. So can you all please suggest me some good books which can help me clear the basics and then I can advance myself in PHP after learning the basics.

    Agree with this.
    You don't have to buy books, there are plenty of PHP tutorials on the sites Humour linked to, as well as YouTube video tutorials which are also free of charge.

    OT: Kinda cool that w3schools is norwegian - whooho!

    Just let someone else code something for you.
    Then when he's done, try to edit his code to make minor improvements.

    After a while, you'll understand his code and what's needed to completely redo it.
    I learned PHP by hiring splitice to code rs2rs.com for me a year ago. I used his code as building blocks.
