greasemonkey is a very good addon, I am using it for an year and it let you load external scripts

Tab Mix Plus is an essential for me, Last Pass as well. Google Preview is a nice touch.

I would also recommed SeoQuake - view of site parameters,Session manager - saves and restores browser windows

all these addons just bog down your browser by using a lot of memory.

I use FlagFox and Speed dial and Cooliris and Image Zoom to name but a few, but yais is right they do bog down your browser a little.
