Social Network Traffic

Does anyone get decent traffic from social network sites like
Facebook, Twitter, Delicious, Digg, Stumble Upon, Buzz etc.

I also want to know how much time you put into them. I'm expecting a few to say Facebook but I don't want to have to spend hours updating profiles to get a few hits. What do you find is the easiest to get traffic from with the least amount of work.

I'm wondering as I set up a twitter profile, coded a custom API to make tweets look more natural rather than automated, got quiet a few followers but get less than 10 hits a day after all my work. Most of twitter seams to be just bots and automated crap. What are ye're experiences like with social traffic.

Like you said twitter is on auto now, never tried on facebook (but I heard you can get nice hits from it) because hey, advertising illegal website on fb and only matter of time before your page get deleted.

Hmm, in my analytics page it shows that I got only 255 hits from twitter.
I'm submitting 5 topics to twitter with a 1075 followers account every 30 minutes. I must say, after tweeting, my users online reach almost 800-1000 users online (raising from 300-400 actual users) - I really see traffic increasing after tweeting.. Wish I had an API too

I had one of those facebook like sites,was getting over 20k uv a day from facebook

I used facebook once or twice, and set up twitter fully automatic. Twitter sends basically no traffic, might look into facebook.

You can use sites like twitterfeed.com that put tweets of your latest posts on your twitter profile. The use your rss feeds. It's actually pretty easy.
