Installing dle on existing databse

Is it possible to install dle on an existing database.I mean is that If i am runnning a website with dle 8.3.And mistakely inspite of upgrading the dle , i deleted the dle 8.3 installation files and installed fresh copy of dle 8.5 and i connected it to my existing database where records of all my news , members etc. were present . But this new dle 8.5 shows no articles , news , user of my existing server database .

I want to get back all the news , articles etc. which are present in my existing database.
Can any one please help me.

It doesn't show the old articles because you dropped all tables, you couldn't install new DataLifeEngine version in same database if you didn't have different prefix, e.g. If you change default database prefix you can ran multiple installations in same database. But that's not case with you.

You dropped all tables, try to contact your Hosting provider, I'm sure that they got 24-48 hours old backup of your site.

I have made a complete backup of my website.It is 2.1gb in size.I have also made a backup before installing that new dle.So can it help me???

Extract the .SQL file from your backup. After you've extracted it, upload it in public_html,

Download: Bigdump

Open the bigdump.php file in Notepad++ or any other text editor you are using, change these lines:

$db_server   = 'localhost';
$db_name     = '';
$db_username = '';
$db_password = ''; 

If you get error:

At this place the current query includes more than 300 dump lines. That can happen if your dump file was created by some tool which doesn’t place a semicolon followed by a linebreak at the end of each query, or if your dump contains extended inserts. Please read the BigDump FAQs for more infos.

Change this:

define ('MAX_QUERY_LINES',300); 

Put it like 600 or 1000.

After you've edited the file and uploaded the bigdump.php in same folder with .sql file, database importing will start. After you've finished importing delete the .sql file and bigdump.php from your server.

i get this error

What to do?? I increased from 300 to 1000.My database size is more than 2gb and above 200,000 articles.

but now i am getting this error

Does it say anything about 'duplicate entry' ?
