Personally if it was me I'd just restart it with IPB. May I ask why are you switching to PHPBB? I know your level of coding and your going to encounter huge problems later as PHPBB is very much a script you have to get into the code to do any edits. You can't just import plugins or mods and changing themes or doing upgrades is a huge amount of work.

I'd seriously reconsider if you really want to move to phpbb first. I think vb or IPB would be easier and kinder to you and you also have greater experience in these from what I know.

the forum is already PhpBB i wanted to make it vB but failed so im just looking for a dark phpbb skin and chat box and other plug ins

im prob the same level coder as u Peanut and honestly i tried it and failed miserably.. as for chatboxes there isnt much to offer in phpbb tht i had found.. and its a TON of work to install any mods to it as Happy said

oh you started with phpbb. My bad. I misunderstood. I though it was the other way round and you started with vb and converted to phpbb but failed.

Anyway I still stand by what I would do. Personally I'd restart with IPB from scratch with the skin I linked to and bypass vb. PHPBB is very time consuming and more complicated to do stuff with when your not experienced with it. If you don't restart or convert now your'll regret it in a year or (in two months in your case when you try and sell it )

problem is im helping someone for free cause well there site was bad looking but they don't want to loose there members or post so im screwed working with this free shit i offered to host them
the guy hosting them now basically charged him like 200$ for usa hosting and a crap neon green skin eww and no cpanel and no real control on the domain so like i said kinda fucked with what im working with

you can use mchat as shoutbox

mchat is good as a shoutbox, also make sure that you don't use installers like AutoMod to do the job for you. They really mess up the things.

i had used automod installing about 20 mods
