rename 001.exe

first i have windows 7 64 bit


i use IDM for dl


i have dl a movie


salt.rar.001
---------004


but my computer convert them automatic

to
salt.rar.001.exe
----------004.exe

so its a application now

does there is any way to rename it and remove .exe so i can extract it with hjsplit

Hey seems like you have a virus on your machine clean that first.

Also if you would like to name try using command prompt and rename with that. Should work properly if you do not have a virus.

I am using IDM without any problems.

It's not a virus. My Windows 7 64 Bit does it also .

I am on windows 7 64bit, and using IDM without any problems... Strange you would face that problem...
