    type gnome-session this will bring up Gnome Desktop looks like you need to re-edited the vnc xstartup script.

    just see that yum is updated and also that u have edited the xstartup correctly

    Hey i also get this error but i fixed with reinstalling the gnome

    and Xwindows .

    You can do that simple with entering this command via putty

    Code: 
    # yum groupinstall "X Window System" "GNOME Desktop Environment"
    also after reinstall the Gnome and XWindows i go to tight vnc and start the VNC .

    But when i login to VNC everything was there but i can't access Mozilla (give's me error) . I fix this error simple in command line i insert this code

    Code: 
    yum install firefox
    Maybe this will help you
