There wasn't any recent downtime.
The answer is CloudLinux. We run CloudLinux and your site will get slow / unavailable if you reach the resource limit. I'm not sure what makes you think this is a proper support channel, but it's actually NOT a support thread. If you want our support you MUST open and follow a support ticket. We have 7 days refund policy, as stated in our terms(you had to read and agree before making the order). You can cancel your service from our client area.KnownSRV.com - Quality comes at a price, and we provide it at affordable prices.
PayPal, Skrill(MoneyBookers), Payza(AlertPay), 2CheckOut and LibertyReserve accepted!

Unfortunatelly, we don't plan to re-stock it anytime soon.
It's not a downtime. It looks like wrong permissions on your public_html or your site got disabled for heavy resource usage. Instead of posting here you should have submitted a support ticket like everyone else. Once again, this is NOT a support thread. If you need support you MUST open a support ticket.
Thanks

lol, CloudLinux? Seriously brother!!!
You services sucks (with all due respect) I signed up for Shared V2 package ONLY because V1 isn't available, your services were recommended by a friend whom also think now that your servers SUCKS.
I have used less than 300MB on my PUBLIC HTML folder & I was getting 40-80 Visitors a day since I haven't started working on SEO yet & you telling me I over used allowed resources lolll
Well out of respect that you have fully refunded my 6 month payment I wouldn't wanna say anything bad to you personally.
But all out there thinking of signing up for Shared Hosting, Save your selves hassle & go for someone professional like AltusHost who allows warez & very reasonable prices *based in Netherlands*
There was 2 hours down time altogether in 2 weeks I was with KnownSRV & my basic WordPress site would take 40 secs to 1.3 Minutes to load so I was suggested krunix I need VPS lol
Just my 2 cents, if I stepped on any toe or broke some forum rule then please accept my humble apology & moderate this post however it needed to be.
Regards

Uptime is above 99.9% exactly as advertised. It's fairly good for a shared hosting.

Considering there are hunderts of sites on that server, and host-tracker results was just fine for our IP and random sites from the server I checked after your ticket - it was clearly something on your end.
I'm glad you are happy with AltusHost(although their reviews don't look so good). I'm not quite sure why are you even posting your issues in a sales thread AFTER we bypassed our 7-days money back policy and FULLY refunded your payment although you were not supposed to get a refund. This is our thanks for being nice and polite I guess.
It's almost 1am here and I don't feel like arguing with you. You got a refund, you are happy with your new hosting. No idea what more do you except but there is nothing more we can do for you at this point.
Thanks

this is how apache works...
Actually i think the only fault from Krun!x is to suppose that everybody here knows what they are doing when installing a website. Of all the blog they are complaining about downtime, most of them are wordpress sites.
Here i realized that most users here don't know what is an apache server.
If anybody try to install one at their home (common it's not that difficult) will realize how wordpress it's a really beastly hog about ram memory.
I'd like you all to know that every single wordpress process could consume easily 64mb. And that nice amount of memory having special care of using nice plugins and not use duplicated plugins like cleverSEO and AllinOne SEO in the same blog (for example..) . Most people that we know here sure have 96 to 128mb per apache process and all of that thanks to our wonderful and fully optimized wordpress.
Hostgator has a hard limit of 42MB (tested in my flesh..) by apache process and that disallow you to use almost any plugin that uses ajax.
However, although all the complains you may see how Krun!x and .mac handle them, i think is pretty amazing. Also the possibility of refund if there with some very unhappy costumer (although has passed 7 days cash back in some case) is really valuable, you know that at least you get always an answer.
Also i like how sounds talking about real specifications:
30% of 3.1 ghz
512mb ram
20 process..
sound nice to me. I'm thinking i'll give a try, not only for the price or the server setup.. But also because of the admins, i think is nice to have straight contact with them.
About ddos attacks.. I think it might be done, but i would take down the simultaneous connections from the same ip. Really way down.. i think with 30 by site should be more than enough. Also i would drop them as quick as possible. The site may loose some responsiveness, but you will gain in stability when it comes to some ddos-ing (tested with one ubuntu server with atom 1.6 and 512MB ram.. almost a casio calculator)
What the hell.. Already did (invoice 4214)
Best regards!
