Sound issues.
So,
I downloaded a video last night, YES PORNO!!!!!!!!!! and unfortunately i didn't scan it or anything, I tried opening it and it froze. i deleted it and shit, but since then I've had this problem with sound. In the sound controls the "wave" bar gets auto muted every few minutes and during that mute it occasionally plays this funny music (nothing opens on taskbar) and only way for me to get sound back is to literally move the wave bar up and down. and this happenes every 30 seconds or so.
I tried scanning my shit with avg but didnt come up with anything. Also I'm using the last xp so I dont have the "run" on my start but when i hit windows R it says "the operations has been cancelled due to restrictions in effecton this computer. Please contact system administrator" and im logged on as adminstrator.CasaNova Reviewed by CasaNova on . Sound issues. If you want to try something before combofix, because ComboFix is a very in depth scanner. Try Malwarebytes first.

Yeh most likely you have a rootkit in your system, do the following:
Please download the current version of HijackThis from HERE
- Double click and run the installer.
- It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
- After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
- Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.

i did that and no luck.
the "wave" is automatically on mute when computer starts. and this time when i put it up there is no sound at all. but every minute or so it still auto mutes regardless of whether sound is there.
this is getting frustrating

Alright please do the following:
Download the GMER rootkit scan from here: GMER
- Unzip it and start GMER.
- Click the >>> tab and then click the Scan button.
- Once done, click the Copy button.
- This will copy the results to your clipboard.
- Paste the results in your next reply.
Note:
If you're having problems with running GMER.exe, try it in safe mode. This tools works in safe mode.
You can also try renaming it since some malware blocks GMER.
