Wordpress Error

Hey Friends,
I am trying to setup my Wordpress blog for long time. I wanted to make it look something better. but every time I try something new more I mess up things.
I was working in function.php and after few edits I get this error message. I am not able to resolve the error even after googling.

here is the preview of error. If you need function.php file, I can attach it here or send you PM. please help me.

Upload the original file "theme-eidtor.php", that should fix it i guess.

^ That didn't work. I searched online and it says "there shud be some whitespace before/after <?php.......?>

I tried editing it with Programmer's notepad too, I don't see any whitespace?

I don't want to delete my blog..

Try uploading the original functions.php file, try undoing w/e editing you did.

^ I already tried that part too. nothing seems to be working.

Edit: can you see the dot on the top left corner of header? when I see that with firebug I see
<li></li> but I am not able to edit it.

^ That doesn't make sense to me, you just started getting that error out of the blue? If so, sorry can't help ya .

Well, I didn't get the error all of a sudden. I was installing plugins as I need them and I was also changing themes and Editing themes.

I all these process I don't remember where did I made a mistake.

Thanks for taking your time in replying and looking into the problem. I will try to solve it today and then after that new week new start.

Firstly try replacing both functions and theme-editor.php

i can tell you its not BOM Chars because there error line is > 1

I was copying function.php from my backup (I guess backup was buggy too. )

then I copied it from the source zip file. and it was done.
