I liked this Tutorial, so I'm sharing it
Here the original image:
Step 1: First that we will make - we will decolour the image. Press Shift + Ctrl + U. We will get this:
Note: If you want, that only the image part became chocolate (for example, the image of a hand which holds any object, that you need to make chocolate, only object) then at first allocate that object, and then place this allocation on a new layer (Ctrl+J), then it is necessary to decolour this part.
Step 2: Now we need to allocate all parts which then become chocolate. In this case all rose will be chocolate. Therefore we need rose completely allocated.
- Ctrl + click on a layer with a rose if the rose lies on a separate background - if the rose is merged with a background it is necessary to allocate it, using tools of allocation familiar to you (Lasso, a fast mask, a magic wand and other.)
As soon as the image is allocated - keep allocation - address in menu Select> Save Selection. Name this allocation, for example, all?.
Further we create a new layer (Ctrl + shift + N) and named it ?chocolate?.
Your rose is still allocated. Then active layer ?chocolate? choose the tool pouring to fill in this allocation by appetizing chocolate colour.
Step 3: Change to this layer a mixing mode (blending mode) on ?hard light? (as in picture)
Now before us is brown rose! Similar on chocolate, but slobbers do not flow yet.
Now you need to merge two layers - ?chocolate? with initial. For what press Ctrl+E.
Step 4: And now choose the tool - the Finger we will smear keen edges and to do a rose smooth and soft.
Establish a soft brush with force about 60 %. You should change the size of a brush - all depends on the size of rose-petals.
Start slightly and to pound edges very accurately. This part of exercise the most important, therefore it is necessary to give it enough time. Do not hurry up! Make it well.
Step 5: So, now on turn drawing of droplets.
Take tool Lasso and simply draw something reminding a hanging down droplet of chocolate from petal edge (look where droplets will be logically better to look). Fill in this drop with the same colour, as a rose.
Create a new layer and draw one more drop. Repeat these actions until you do not decide what to draw drops already will suffice. Then, merge all layers with drops in one and name its ?drops? Here is our rose:
Step 6: All is good, but too plainly. Make a layer with drops for a while invisible (close eye opposite to a layer). Now be convinced that the layer ?chocolate? is active and take the tool Brush. Establish a small soft brush nearby 2 px and approximately 60-80 % of a transparency (opacity).
Very carefull draw patches of light along the edges of a rose where as you consider, natural light should fall. They while look too sharp, therefore take already familiar Finger - force of 60 %, the size 6 px. Smear it white strips.
Step 7: Open an eye opposite to a layer with drops.
Step 8: So, drops have returned into place. But such impression, as if drops not the naturaly made. Agree that them it is necessary smear to district. Choose a layer with drops and with these two tools: - and - (a brush small soft, range: midtones; exposure: 30-40 %) start to paste drops to petals. To drops too add patches of light.
Step 9: Now it is already better. Just left few things.
We will add a little more bright patches of light to all rose! At first merge all layers together (ctrl+E) and change a name to a layer on ?rose?. Take a brush, a transparency make a bit more than was.
Freshen former patches of light, make bright accents. Then again take the Finger and smear a little bit. Do not forget about transparency adjustment.
Note: If you have suddenly wanted not a chocolate rose but, for example, honey, remember that the consistence at these products different, hence and a kind at a rose will be another. Somewhere patches of light are more volume, somewhere a droplet longer. Try it!
