    Default VPS for RapidLeech

What are the specs you guys suggest for starting RapidLeech hosting?

    I'm starting off with 70 - 100GB Space
    Unmetred Bandwith
But not so sure about Ram.

    Also, 100MBPS - 1GBPs Port

Can you recommend me a good hosting company that offers this.

    Thanks,
    -Jet

    Pure Awesomeness!
thats a lot of space that u won't need, unless u keep backup of the files, around 20-30GB will do just fine.

Well, 100GB Space would be good but I would go with 200GB. It's hard to tell how many customers you are going to have p/server so for Ram go with 8GB and Port 1GBPs.

It's easy if you are bit short 100GB Space, 4 GB Ram and 100MBPS if not 200GB Space, 8 GB Ram and 1GBPS.

As for companies well, I don't know if OVH allow it, but if it does go with OVH or Netdirekt (many people order from Netdirekt).

I've seen that the maximum speed for Rapidshare doesn't differ a lot between 100Mbs and 1Gbs ... the speed was 10MBs against 14MBs.

For Rapidleech I don't think it's worth it to go for a 1Gbs ... for RDP, that's a different case.

It's definitely worth, it on 100mbps its maxing out but on 1gbit it isn't so if you have two users downloading the speed wont be cut in half

a decent quad core with 6gb of ram and 200-300gb hard drive would be a great start

you really need your own dedicated to start rapidleech hosting, if you did on a VPS it would suck unless you had one customer
    Shorten your links with http://2sl.im

yeah sorry make that a dedi as thats what i was referring to, with a vps you might be-able to get a way with 3-4 clients with okayish speeds on a decent vps, but since RL is a resource hog especially with rar (as in high cpu usage and high B/w usage)
