No need to worry about people posting fake/virused/low quality stuff since you are the only one uploading&posting.

Blogs are more seo friendly.

You got many themes you can use and u can make custom theme easier than in forums

No spams ... no viruses,

All your post will be only yours and therefore quality posts...

Blogs wil make it easier to find something and u can avoid double post my keeping a track of ur uploads(use excel or ms word)...There no double posts and users can easily get what they need

Also You can post a little request box where you manage requestts by users
