LVM Help (Centos)
Hello,
I wanted some help.
My server has 2*500GB HDD.
but during the installation it creates 2 partitions of 500 .
I searched on net and found that the 2 partitions can be combined using LVM.
i have no idea how to do that.
Can any1 help me with it pls

cliffsupport.com syntrio.inYou should use the LVM2 technology for this. Here you need to create partitions on your hardrive and use these partitions to create physical volumes. These physical volumes are used to crease volume group. VG is the main part of the LVM. Inside the VG, we will create logical volume with the size intended.
If you have two 500 Gb HD you can create two partition of 500Gb each. By using LVm, you can create a single 1000Gb partition with ext3 file system.

any idea how to solve this - /dev/sdb1 not identified as an existing physical volume
