Why smf sucks

People say SMF sucks because they can't code, in my opinion.

Put it this way, I could code a whole site-forum bridge and a load of SMF plugins in a day or two.
Try do the same thing on something like phpBB or vBulletin and it'll take longer (because you have to read up on all their hooks and such).

Due to it being nicely coded though, it means it doesn't look as good as things like vB (probably because it doesn't waste queries on fetching useless information purely for cosmetic purposes).

It does mean it is rather fast, though.

1. You dont get much good packages in SMF : have thousands of packages open your eyes and see
2. Packages doesnt install good, there is most of the time parse errors. : installations is much easier then phpbb. dont have to edit any thing. If you use mod that dosent supports your forum version why will it work ?? it wil surely give an error
3. Less facilities are there in SMF. : Best support staff i tell you.And whatever you need support staff provides you with it.
4. WYSIWYG post editor is absent. : It is present
5. Auto posters doesnt support SMF : This is because many people dont use it coz they want to do what the best sites in warez are doing like katz in VB , WBB in phpbb.

There is no valid reason that smf sucks i just love it

Admin panel is much easier and comprehensive then VB .

In VB admin panel is so complex.

smf is great its free and compared to vb and ipb its as good.

smf is great its the best free opensource forum software out.

myBB is also good i think its good some people use different forum software every 1 uses vb or ipb mostly for there sites.

I can't understand why some noobs always come and post their odd imaginations even when those are unnecessary.

On topic, SMF is as good as others, just need some skill on codings, thats it.
