I am on shared hosting and my wordpress version is using too much of cpu av. it`s 30% and sometimes it jumps to over 80% do you know why could It be coused by ?
I have video site with embeding only option I do not host any videos.

Probably too many plugins running, heavy skin or maybe a shitty host.

I had 6 plugins, skin I don`t think is heavy, and host i good check my link...

Get "WP-Cache" installed, and make sure the configuration's similar to this:

I also had the same problem, and this was what solved it.

Use a cache system as 4tw mentioned,
I did it and my usage decreased in 65%

Well get the super cache instead, its much better
