ok i have created a unique system for site ratings / star rating...

its bassed on several key factors that ill explain below but if you just want to see first the link is below... please go threw several pages to see differences with rates..

ok so for the explaination..

as i said its based on several key factors:

Factor 1: 1/10 site rating from my admin (my rating is based on site qaulity!).
Factor 2: the google pagerank for the perticular site.
Factor 3: total pages index over Yahoo & Google.

Factor 3 is still being implemented.

the maximum rating per site is 10. to achive this you will need a pagerank of 10 and a 10 from our administrators.

all new websites will automatically have a defualt rating from our team, the defualt rating is 3 + there Page Rank devide by 2

here are some of my sums i worked out.

Site: http://www.site-1.com/

Page_Rank : 8.
My Rating : 8.


Page_Rank + My Rating = 16
Website Core Rating : 16/2 = 8.
ok so site-1 has a core rating of 8
and if we share that by 2 again we get the total stars
also if the websites rating is 2.5 it will be round down to 2.

Stars = 4.
but the stars work as so.. for every 1 point you will get half a star

so you will see 2 stars for site-1.

Sorry mate.This was the 1st thing which came up in mind.

But I've to say that you have implemented your mind on ratings very well.

yes its very simple infact i thought why not use the answer from the biggest website indexer in the world..

it takes 3 of the most inportent things and combines them into 1 global number.

1:How much does google like your site.
2:How good your site looks for the user.
3:how many pages you have indexed.

combine them three and the asnwer is simple.

here is a snippet if the checker that checks the page rank... its pretty accurate...

well pagerank of 10 would automatically mean realy less warez sites with perfect 10 raiting as not many warez site has a raiting of pr 10...

Yeah, sorry but the part with the page rank is idiotic. Everyone is going to be ranked 1-5 and that is it. Secondly, it would be nice to see a rating system that is not biased. Because your administrators are the one ranking the site; maybe have some kind of team, on a rotation?

To your point of only google has a pagerank of 10... this is why i implemented the defualt +3 points.... this will counteract the PR10,Pr9,PR7's so the ratings are really going to be based aroung Pageranks between 1-6

this is why i think its pretty neat!!
