Ya you have to let us know what type of script your site is using.

I don't really understand as their's already a search feature built into most sites already.

One thing though is that search scripts can use a lot of resources and slow your site down a lot. That's why warez-bb has flood control measures to only let you search every 30 seconds. I knew of other sites with this problem and they asked me to come up with a solution. Below is the link to the solution I came up with for them.
