Hosting under 'file hosting script'

I want to power file hosting script (Mgea File Hosting Script). I found VPS server on this site: http://www.hostgator.com/vps-hosting/

I want to choose 2 option (for 29.95$). Is it possible to power this script on this hosting? It will works properly?

Or what you thinks about this dedi-verver: http://www.serverpronto.com/ (First server - Starter)???

P.S I know that dedicated server is better for this script but this dedi servers are very expansive. Im looking for somethink cheaper

i am using same script v1.3 on my dedicated server, really depends upon your traffic and what file upload size you allow, are you sure 22gb space / 375gb bw is enough for you ?

Sorry, but if youre going to use a vps or dedicated server for uploading / downloading, I think that you should go with an unmetered bandwidth service and of course have at least 500gb hard drive.

With a Hostgator Vps, you will only loose your money !

For uploading or downloading, going with Hostgator VPS is spending too much for bandwidth.

Problem is on your bandwidth if you feel you won't use your files hosting service much it can be fine.

If you're going to host warez files, think again. Hostgator is located in the US and will throw you off the server in no time.

Also their small packages (64 and 124Gb) might not have enough disk space to run a host, but it's a decent start.

Also if your filehost is going to be successful, prepare to reserve big amounts for bandwidth.

bahh.. just go with santrex.net and get a cheap vps with unmetered bandwidht... they wont care what you host and wont care about bandwidht.. I used like 3Tb and never said anything or complaint...

its the cheapest solution... if you only plan to host files and not sites !

definitely , vps is not a good option for file hosting...
I highly recommend that you find a good dedicated provider..
