install rar/unrar on centos

i just installed cpanel on my server (centos 5.4) and i can't use rar/unrar
this is the error i get:

# unrar
unrar: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by unrar)

how can i fix it?

try this;

rm -rf /usr/bin/rar
ln -s /usr/local/rar/rar_static /usr/bin/rar

get 3.8, will work just fine

sounds like its just an issue with the symlink if it really is installed.

there are some issues with the latest version on Winrar..
as kzee told. just use version 3.8

yum install gcc

You have to use the 3.8 version

i am facing this problem when i am trying to unrar using ssh
unrar e file.rar
unrar i file.rar that time i am facing

Oh okay because Rapidleech also gave me a similar error when trying to RAR a file. But I founded a work around and someone else posted it somewhere here. LOL
