How to make a vBulletin skin?

I can do some basic coding but am quite a noob at Photoshop

However I've got the PSD of a vBulletin skin and don't know how to do the slice. I've tried to slice them several times but they are not as i expected.

So I am just wondering if there is some kind of preset for slicing the PSD for vBulletin, to get the gradient and all.


Can anyone help me with some small tutorials??


I don't want to buy any service, I want to learn how it's done.

first of all learn how VB works..Am using phpbb since many years, i know how it works under its framework.

second, use html DOM + css and your knowledge of VB to code your style.

Note: IF you are having some trouble using slice, just cut the part of the image using your selection tool.

For e.g if you have a gradient somewhere just cut it as follows, using selection tools and save it.

this is what i was in need for the coding part from the PS. the slicing and all i got but which will be more better to generate css by id or the others? so yeah i'll like to also learn how its done as well (the right way)
