Hi I wasn't sure if this was the right area, but here goes....


I have office 2007 on Win XP and i'm trying to make it stop updating, but not turning off automatic updates for XP just for office. Is there a registry key or program that will block it from trying to update or completely disable updates for it completely? Thanks in advance!

There are a few different solutions.
1. Find out what IP(s) it is connecting to and go into your HOST file and redirect it to your local host (127.0.0.1).
2.Add the out going connections to your block list on your firewall.

add it to the firewall exception list. Tell the firewall to make Office not connect to the internet.

yea like what ieatlinux said u normally do it for adobe products but that might inflict with the other updates in the window update set auto download and u chose what to install

yea set the permissions to block update/activation through your AV firewall or windows

Im sure you can change windows update to not update other products.
