Need Proxy Host

I have a domain and wanted to start my proxy site but I need a host that allows proxies. I was interested in buying VPS but not sure if I will need that much.

Im not experienced in owning a VPS so I would need help to secure it.

I need a good host that has good support.

use somebody who can actually support it http://www.cmodz-hosting.com/proxy.php worked well. I hosted a small one with them. Used about 250GB/mo. Support is awful, but I had no downtime for a couple months (sold the site) and speed never slowed down

its not a good idea to start a proxy site on shared hosting..
better get a vps, but make sure that they allow proxy sites on their network.

Shared hosting is not good for proxies, especially if they get big.
they are very resource intensive. If you are just starting off for now it is fine, but be ready to move when your host says ur using too many resources.

And to not get hacked, just don't piss people off its as simple as that. Most hackers don't hack just to hack, it's for a reason.

And b/c it is a proxy, all you wold really have to do is secure your cpanel + ssh, which really isn't hard. it doesn't use a database and doesn't have many vulnerabilities

That is what I figured but I have no experience with VPS's so I wouldn't have a clue on how to set it up.

I did 250gb easy on shared hosting. I think around a few thousand visitors a day. I cannot remember now
